[edit] Aims
The mission of the society is to be dedicated to the study, practice and the occupation of Archaeology whilst supporting students in the Archaeological Department at the University of Sheffield. This is done through a successful series of lectures given by both internal and external speakers on a variety of topics, along with social events - most notably bar crawls.
[edit] Representation
The Society has an annually elected committee which is run by students from the university usually second year undergraduate archaeology students. However this was not in the case of the years 2006/2007 in which the society was run by first year students due to the society not being evident otherwise. The committee is currently run by a President, Vice-President, Secretary, two Treasurers, an Events Coordinator, a Publicity Officer, a sports rep and a web master.
