[edit] We already have a website
We already have a university society/halls of residence/sports club website, why should we add our details to StudentWiki?
- StudentWiki can be edited by anyone not just the webmaster
- StudentWiki can evolve with different views thereby adding value, unique viewpoints and becoming another useful resource to complement your current website
- StudentWiki aims to be a source of information across all universities to give prospective and current students one place in which to research and compare different institutions

[edit] Breadcrumb Trail or Category?
A wiki has a flat stucture i.e. every page is in the same root directory; However, StudentWiki lends itself to a hierarchial structure. For example:
Each university (grandparent) has a student union (parent) which in turn has a football society (child). Hence the use of the breadcrumb structure.
Then there are Categories - a feature of wikis that is very useful, grouping together articles with a similar topic.
Therefore, use both! The more options for navigating to relevant information, the better.
